The Covid interruption..
Best laid plans and all that….
My last post was the beginning of my “100 days of wetplate”. Then, the evening of Tuesday, January 26, I had this feeling I was getting a cold. Seemed strange to catch a cold when I’d been masking when I was out, and using alcohol wipes whenever I got back in the car. But, I’d had that feeling a few times over the summer and fall, but it was always gone the next day, so attributed it to allergies. When Wednesday rolled around and the symptoms were still there, and a slight fever (99ºF) on Wednesday evening, I signed up for a Covid test at CVS in Orange on Thursday morning.
I feel pretty lucky in that my symptoms all along with Covid were somewhat mild. I spent a night here and there with a terrible headache, and mornings always seemed rough, but otherwise the symptoms weren’t too bad. I had a dry cough, and still do 14 days later, some congestion (still have it), and a mild fever that peaked at 101º but was only there for part of one day. The rest of the time my fever was around 99º, with some partial days of no fever at all.
